The site exists
The design system and 16 public pages are live, manifesto included. The hero and the patrol drawing are pure SVG and CSS, so the whole site ships under 6 KB of uncompressed JavaScript and no framework. Three real bugs came out of testing the deployed URL rather than localhost: unknown paths returned 200 instead of 404, the hero animation loop never stopped and burned battery for the length of the visit, and the mobile nav clipped its own button off the right edge at 390px. All three fixed. The palette is on its second revision. The first was a warm night and an amber lamp, and it read like every other security brand, so it was thrown out.

The refusals came first
Before a line of the site was written, the nine commitments were settled and the neighbourhood mesh was declined in writing. It is the most valuable product extension available to us and it is the one we exist to be the alternative to. Declining it while it is still theoretical is cheap. Declining it later, with revenue already attached, would not be.

Why a drone and why now
On 22 December 2025 the FCC added all foreign-produced drones to its Covered List. DJI, at roughly 70 percent of the global market, can no longer authorise new models for US sale, and estimates $1.5 billion in lost 2026 sales here. Nobody domestic serves the price point being vacated. Everything American and compliant starts at $2,000 and is sold to enterprises and governments.
